In The Beginning . . .

We would like to tell you a little about ourselves. We have seven grown children, three sons-in-law, two daughters-in-law, and thirteen grandchildren ranging in ages from 2 months to, soon to be, 15 years old. We were introduced to a family who have adopted several girls from China and this really got us thinking about the possibility of adopting. Fast forward seven months and lots of paperwork later and we have our home study approved, currently waiting for our fingerprint appointment, and hoping to identify our next daughter.

Several people have asked us why we feel we need to adopt from China. We certainly don't "need" to adopt from China or anywhere else for that matter. What is in need is a loving, safe, and warm family for a child who is in need of a forever family. Our hearts go out to these children and we pray everyday for these children to find homes.

If you are interested in learning about China and the orphanages in China, we suggest reading the many different adoption stories available on Amazon.com or visiting the blogs. Contributions can also be made to Madison Adoption Associates or you can always call or email us directly.
